Update 20/12/2022 – The fight against the Ebola virus in Uganda is heading in the right direction. In the last 30 days, no new Ebola cases have been detected in eight of the nine affected districts. If the positive trend continues in this manner, Uganda is likely to be declared Ebola-free around mid-January 2023. Meanwhile, increased vigilance for possible Ebola infections remains advised.
Entebbe International Airport is open en functioning normally. All travellers should strictly follow the precautions issued by the Ugandan government and WHO. Some countries are subjecting incoming travellers from Uganda to additional medical screening. Please make sure you are well-informed when travelling to a third country from Uganda.
