Due to the increasing number of Ebola cases in the centre of Uganda and its capital Kampala, non-essential travel is strongly discouraged, as declared on Friday by FPS Public Health. The travel advisory concerns the districts that are most affected by the virus: Bunyangabu, Kagadi, Kampala, Kassanda, Kyegegwa, Mubende and Wakiso. The Ministry of Health of Uganda officially declared an Ebola outbreak when a case of the Sudan virus was detected on September 20, in the central-west regions of the country. Since then, the number of cases has been steadily rising. As of October 26, there have been 115 confirmed cases of the disease, of which 32 were fatal.
